Hahn Packaging manufactures quality paperboard folding cartons and set-up boxes to wholesalers, distributors and the industry. We specialize in folding cartons and setup boxes for small to mid-volume customers from as few as 1,000 pieces to several hundred thousand.

We are a family-owned company that has been in business for over 100 years. We attribute our success to our commitment to quality and innovation.

Our Company History

1923 - COMPANY FOUNDED

In 1923, sisters Bird Smith Johnson and Isla Re Smith Vaile founded the TJ Smith Box Company, naming it after their father. It was started in their garage with just two pieces of used equipment. The two sisters served as the sales force of the company, with territories in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Louisiana.

1943 - Growth and New Factory

TJ Smith Box is now a fully equipped, modern box manufacturing company making custom set-up boxes and folding cartons for companies all over the world.

1996 - NEW OWNERS

Since 1996, TJ Smith Box Company has been owned and operated by two generations of the Hahn Family. Richard Hahn was the president and owner of the company from 1996-2014. In 2014, his son, Chris Hahn, took over as president and owner.

2023 - 100 YEARS lATER

In 2023, as we began our second century of business, we wanted a new name to represent the current and future family behind the business. Hahn Packaging will continue to provide the same high-quality products with customer service that is second to none.
